Road to Ultra Korea : the Big Countdown, an AfterParty commentary
May 17, 2018 UDOU TEAM
We can remember that just last year RTU Philippines happened, and it was definitely an amazing experience. With such a great crowd and performances from Sam Feldt, Rezz, and Getter, as headlined by Zedd and Hardwell with two of our best local DJs, Deuce and Marc Marasigan.
There was no exact information why Road to Ultra Philippines for 2018 didn’t happen. We aren’t exactly thrilled that it did not happen, but thankfully CHAOS gave us the next best thing with a mini-RTU Korea event.
The night started off slow, with the liquor ban in place , the event started earlier than usual. But as the night wore on, more and more people huddled into the Club in anticipation of what’s to come.
JJ Saur, Jet Boado, and Kappo the MC
JJ Saur started the night off with a strong upbeat flow that woke up the scene, followed by Jet Boado and Kappo the MC’s set that alighted the room in a trance of electrifying beats; a warm ushering of the crowd into what they’ve all been waiting for. DJ Tony Junior.
DJ Tony Junior
Tony Junior, the headliner of the night who graced the stage of CHAOS is actually a Dutch record producer who was listed in the TOP DJ’s of 2015. People went crazy when he went on to take over the deck. He started off light with a mix of his own beats followed by a latino mix that truly made the crowd jump up and down to every drop.
We also had the chance to chat with the famed DJ, but I won’t spoil it for you here. We’d just hook you up with all the juicy details on our feature article for him. So watch out for it.
The night ended with Marxx Monterola behind the deck. As always, it was a blow that capped the night right.
