Reactivated Jonas Brothers Instagram Account Hints at Reunion

The Jonas Brothers signed off their brother band in 2013, kissing goodbye to a generation of teenyboppers who grew up with their music. Fast forward to five years later and they’re currently the number one trending topic on Twitter. Will 2018 be the year of the JoBros comeback?
The Boy Band of Generation Y
If you were born as the later demographic of Generation Y, chances are you have either seen, heard, or actually listened to the Jonas Brothers. Kevin, Nick, and Joe Jonas formed the band in 2005 and released their first studio album “It’s About Time” a year later. They strengthened their ties with Disney Channel when they released the music video for their single “Year 3000”, originally by British pop punk band Busted. They continued on to release three more albums: “Jonas Brothers” in 2007, “A Little Bit Longer” in 2008, and finally “Lines, Vines, and Trying Times” in 2009. The Jonas Brothers dabbled in television during their career, appearing in “Hannah Montana” with Miley Cyrus, “Camp Rock” and “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” with Demi Lovato, and even their own Disney show “JONAS L.A.” until 2010.
The JoBros Breakup
Plans for the 2013 release of their fifth studio album “V” were subsequently scrapped after the cancellation of their highly anticipated reunion tour. The Jonas Brothers social media accounts went offline, along with the individual Twitter pages of the brothers. The band cited a “deep rift within the band” over “creative differences” despite the single release of the supposed album. A few weeks later, they officially announced the band’s split and cancellation of “V” to their fans’ dismay. Brothers Nick and Joe continued with individual music careers—Nick as a solo artist and Joe as the vocalist of dance-rock band DNCE.
Speculation of a possible reunion sent the interwebs, particularly Twitter, into a frenzy after the reemerging of the band’s Instagram account. The last post dates back to July 2013 the comments section is now flooded with fans who are more than ready for their comeback. None of the members have commented on the reactivation of their account, but long-time fans (including myself, and I’m not even ashamed to say that) are proudly showing their excitement.

Okay guys, no need to throw shade at One Direction. To be fair, they stepped up to the boy band throne after the JoBros breakup. It looks like the tables have turned and Nick, Kevin, and Joe are out to reclaim what was once theirs! Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going home to stick all my old JoBros posters up on my wall.
