Dance the weekend away to the tunes of award-winning DJ/producer Flume! Catch his set at The Palace Pool Club on Saturday, December 9.

HEDS/Flume

Harley Streten, better known as his artist name Flume, started to create music at the age of 13 using a basic production disc packaged inside a cereal box. He began producing house music in 2010 under the name HEDS, and a year later was signed to Australian label Future Classics via a competition. Streten only released one EP under the HEDS name, “Sleepless”, before adopting the Flume moniker.

He did a limited release of self-titled debut album in November 2012 that featured collaborations with the likes of Chet Faker, Moon Holiday, Jezzabell Doran, T.Shirt, and George Maple. US label Mom + Pop (FIDLAR, Jai Wolf) signed him to their roster a month later, and by February 2013 the album hit the US charts with positive feedback.

On the Rise

As Flume’s popularity rose, he began touring internationally and played massive festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza. “Skin”, his sophomore album, was released in May last year and became an even bigger success than the first. The album’s accolades include 11 ARIA Awards of which he won seven including Album of the Year, a top Dance/Electronic Album nomination for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, and a Best Dance Recording nomination for “Never Be Like You” and Best Dance/Electronic Album win at 2017 Grammy Awards. Away from his own music, he helped produce Lorde’s “Melodrama” album and Vince Staples’ “Big Fish Theory”, with the first garnering an Album of the Year nomination at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

Don’t miss out on Flume this Saturday, December 9 at The Palace Pool Club! Tickets go at PHP3,400 with two drinks and can be purchased from The Palace Pool Club’s official website. Cheers to a great weekend ahead!
