Wanderland Festival’s annual WanderBattle is a go! This year, five bands and six visual artists are up for a lineup slot during the famed music festival. Previous winners of this highly competitive yet fun-loving contest include The Ransom Collective in 2014, Strange Creatures in 2015, Oh, Flamingo! in 2016, and Lola Amour last year.

The Battle Begins

WanderBattle started off with 10 semi-finalists for each category: Moonwlk, Rob and the Hitmen, One Click Straight, MAW, Devices, Basically Saturday Night, Atticus and the Finch, La Luna, Carousel Casualties, and xxxxx for Wanderband; Aldwin Zapanta, Ashley Limjoco, Humbly, Christian Cardenas, JP Pining, Kaye Domingo, Nico Sarreal, Rai Hamid, Rups Kiddo, and Sam Bumanlag for Wanderartist.

Voting for the next round began on October 18 and ended four days later, October 22. Mechanics were simple—50% comes from the judges’ scores and the other 50% is taken from the amount of Facebook reacts on their video performance. Thousands of likes and shares from family, friends, and fans bombarded the videos to show their support. With all the calculations completed, we have our finalists!
