Are you a fan of local indie band UDD and the Japanese Reality Show on Netflix “Terrace House”? This one’s for you.
UDD, formerly Up Dharma Down, released a music video last October 7, for their current single that they opened the year with, “Sigurado.” The music video was shot entirely in Tokyo, Japan, and guess who’s the main star of the MV?
Mizuki Shida of the first season of Terrace House. Yep, you read that right. Who would’ve thought that UDD would collaborate with the popular Netflix show?
Spend The Day With Mizuki Shida
Get to know what it feels like to date Mizuki Shida as the music video happens in the point of view of a guy dating Mizuki. From picking her up from work, to going into a food trip, to talking a walk at the park and a night out, it’s definitely what your fantasies are made of!
Besides the visuals, which is a first from the band that they did not appear in the MV, the song is the exact representation of the city feels of Tokyo while spending time with your special someone. From an interview at GMA News Online, Terno boss, Toti Dalmacion said that there was supposed to be a male actor which is also from “Terrace House” but since it didn’t work out, we can only occasionally see a guy’s hand holding Mizuki’s. (Which is a pretty damn lucky guy btw.)
Also, at the end of the video which is set with the backdrop of Tokyo’s city scape, Mizuki, with an irresistible stare says “zettai” which translates to “I’m sure. This is it.” If that doesn’t melt your heart and make you fall in love with her, I don’t know what will.
UDD New Album?
It’s almost the end of the year but this MV is all that we get from UDD‘s upcoming album. The band is obviously hard at work on it and as Toti said, they target to release it before the end of the year but the band isn’t making any promises.
While waiting for the album, go watch UDD’s “Sigurado” MV here.
