Honor one of the country’s most revered rock acts for over a decade! Drop by the Social House for Mayonna15e, the band’s anniversary show, on November 11 to join in the festivities.

15 Years in Service

Two years after their formation in 2002, Mayonnaise won the Grand Prize of the Red Horse Muziklaban competition with Monty Macalino, Paga Manikan, Lee Maningas and Shan Regalado in the lineup. This launched them into the mainstream scene and they released their self-titled debut album short after. Their second single “Bakit Part 2” hit the radio stations and became a long-term resident of the airwaves. Maningas left the band and migrated to the United States but was replaced by Poch Villalon who stayed with the band for the next six years.

Just like the tides Mayonnaise underwent major changes over the last 15 years; their current lineup includes Monty Macalino on vocals, Shan Regalado on drums, Carlo Servano and Maan Furio on guitars, and Nikki Tirona on bass. They released five other studio albums with the latest one entitled “For The Rest Of My Life” in 2016. With a lineup change comes a change in sound too—”For The Rest Of My Life” dives into a more atmospheric and gloomy ambience thanks to the overflow of synthesizers and wide vocals.

Mayonna15e

Those who grew up listening to bands of the early 2000s era were taken aback by the reality of Mayonnaise’s 15th anniversary. Many of them took it to the band’s social media, expressing their shock and excitement for Mayonna15e. A majority of the comments include tagged friends and the affirmation of “We need to go to this gig!”

Entrance falls at PHP300 including a free drink, or PHP600 with a free drink and and a limited edition shirt and CD bundle. The band announced that the show will be filmed and recorded, making us cross our fingers for a DVD special. Happy 15th birthday, Mayonnaise!
