DJ Brian Cua happily joins us for a quick catch up in a quite corner on the second floor of Reserve.
An Impressive Résumé
He starts off with something we both have in common—vinyl. Brian’s interest in music sparked from his uncle’s disco and house record collection. He’s the epitome of “start ’em young”, and it’s no surprise that he’s reached this level of success. He’s an award-winning producer, arranger, and jingle composer along with his long-time stint as a DJ. To top it off, his work includes the Billboard chart-topping official remixes for pop queens Madonna, Beyoncé, and Cher to name a few. Brian maintains residences in Manila’s hottest clubs like The Palace, XX XX, and Nectar. If you happen to catch him in the US, look for him at The Endup (SFO), The Cuff (Seattle), or Town Dance Boutique (Washington, DC).
Brian first fell in love with the skills of DJ in the 1980s because of their ability to mix records while keeping the vibe up. He may not remember who the DJs were back then, but he does remember the exhilarating feeling of being a slave to the music. Now that he’s a master of his craft, he can’t wait to use the AfterParty app to get all his music news out! The app’s real-time analytics will give him and the other artists an edge over everybody else.
