Yep, you read that right. As in Cara Delevingne, the model, actress, and, uh…singer. The I Feel Everything by Cara Delevingne is a part of Luc Besson’s latest movie, “Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets.”
Delevingne wrote the words and the music was produced by rapper Pharell Williams.
From Modelling, to Acting, to Singing
Actors and actresses putting out an album is not new especially here in the Philippines. (READ: James Reid: Putting the “Art” in “Artista”) Some are okay, some surprisingly good, and most would just put a big question mark in your head.
This one kinda falls on the last definition.
It’s not her voice that made me cringe, though. The song genre is to blame and how it doesn’t suit her voice.
It really felt awkward the whole time I was listening to it, especially when she was singing “I Feel Everything”but she sounds like she is not feeling anything.
On the bright side, Delevingne on the screen seems to make up for it.
Cara’s Music Career
Apparently, she plays the drums, guitar and has written and recorded two albums of music under artist manager Simon Fuller but turned down a record because her name would be changed.
In 2013, she had an acoustic duet with English singer and songwriter Will Heard on his song “Sonnentanz (Sun Don’t Shine).” Cara slayed this one in my opinion as slow ballads are the type that does magic to her voice. (See? I’m not that mean.)
Apart from this, she has also worked with Pharell Williams last 2014 for the “Reincarnation“ short film that was made to accompany the CHANEL Paris-Salzburg 2014/15 Métiers d’art collection.
We all have dreams and ambitions, and there’s nothing wrong in trying. Cara has tried and to think how she felt upon seeing her first ever music video must have been grand. Cara is still awesome and beautiful and I hope to hear more of her music in the future.
