Experience Unique Musical Collabs at the COKE Studio PH Launch
July 25, 2017 UDOU TEAM
Taste the sounds of Pinoy music at the COKE Studio PH Launch! Seven local icons meet seven up-and-coming artists for collaborations like no other, and it’s all happening at the SM Mall of Asia SMX Convention Centre on July 29, 2017.
The lineup of icons includes Sandwich, Moonstar 88, Gab & John of Urbandub, Franco Reyes, Abra, and Noel Cabangon. They’ll be working with rising musicians of our time such as Jensen and the Flips, The Ransom Collective, Reese Lansangan, Gracenote, Autotelic, BP Valenzuela, and Curtismith.
Two of the most well-respected and noteworthy musicians of the local rock scene, Buddy Zabala and Raimund Marasigan, are the producers of Coke Studio Philippines.
They might have gone their separate ways since the disbandment of the Eraserheads but both have kept their feet glued to the industry—Raimund has involved himself with Pedicab, Sandwich, Cambio, Project 1, Squid 9, and most recently Gaijin while Buddy has kept ties with The Dawn, Cambio, and currently as the bassist of punk rock band Hilera.
Their love for local music incepted Coke Studio Philippines.
Their goal? To bridge the gap between old and new; to introduce the current scene to experienced listeners and the legendary tunes to the young ones.
