The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is undoubtedly the biggest music event of the year. For all the weekends of April, the Empire Polo Club at the Colorado Desert transforms into a playground for artists and attendees alike. Coachella Music Festival started in 1999, and has continued to show off the best and brightest musicians and artists of the year. As Katy Perry said, “The lineup always introduces the best of the year for the rest of the year.”
This year’s lineup is just as stellar as ever. Check out the photo below!

Beyoncé was supposed to headline this year’s Coachella Music Festival, but she opted out because she’s pregnant with twins. Lady Gaga will be taking her place. Don’t worry though, Beyoncé has promised to headline Coachella next year!
If you’re thinking, “Gosh, I wish I could watch these great artists!” then you’re in luck. YouTube will be partnering Coachella to livestream 3 days of the amazing event. Music fans from all over the globe can tune into one of the biggest music and art events from the comfort of their own homes entirely for free!
The stream will take place from April 14 to April 16 on Coachella’s official YouTube channel. Personally, I’m looking forward to the April 15 show. Three of my favorite bands, Bastille, Two Door Cinema Club, and The Head and the Heart will be performing then. The headliner, Lady Gaga, will also rock the stage that night.
It’s incredible how much technology has helped enrich music. Take Rich Chigga for example, he learned the English language and eventually how to rap entirely from the internet. Even local acts like Reese Lansangan have been helped a lot by the internet. Her album, “Arigato Internet” is an homage to the world wide web.
Let’s all take advantage of this gift the folks at Coachella and YouTube are about to bestow on us. See you guys on the internet!
