Halsey’s Twitter announcement got us feeling hopeless.

The 22-year-old singer-songwriter took it to social media to announce her anticipated sophomore album set to come out in June this year. Entitled “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom,” she made the announcement by tweeting a topless press photograph of her holding a rose to her face and exposing a cheeky bit of sideboob.

Halsey made her big break in the music industry in 2015 with her debut album, Badlands, which peaked at no. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Since then, she has won and been nominated for a couple of awards, including People’s Choice Awards’ Favorite Breakout Artist (nominated) and Billboard’s Rising Star award (won) in 2016.

But before we knew her from the hits, “Ghost,” “New Americana,” or her Grammy-nominated duo performance with The Chainsmokers, “Closer,” she was once a young girl who went by Ashley Nicolette, her real name, and started off small, much like other aspiring musicians of today.

Did you know that she started her career by posting covers and parodies on YouTube?

From a humble young girl who did supporting acts for The Kooks and Imagine Dragons and posting music on Soundcloud, to the bold and spunky artist that we’ve come to get to know, Halsey is a now true bonafide electropop star sure to make us fall harder under her spell with this upcoming record.

More details of the release will come soon (as promised by Halsey herself) so stay tuned.
